Lunchtime Recital
Benjamin O’Riordan – Baritone
Sammy Li – Piano
Wednesday 13 March 2024 – 1 pm to 1:40 pm
On, Wednesday 13 March, we had the great pleasure of welcoming, Benjamin O’Riordan a former Brentwood Cathedral chorister, (and Brentwood School student), who still sings here as a lay clerk, and who is presently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Benjamin sang a beautiful programme of Lieder by Schubert, Schumann and Brahms. He was accompanied by Sammy Li on the piano. Sammy, who is also a former student from Brentwood School, is currently studying mathematics and philosophy at the University of Bristol, where she holds the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship in Music. Music is clearly still a very important part of her life! Sammy gave us a superb rendition of Schumann’s second piano sonata (1st movement) |
