St George’s Cathedral Consort, Southwark with the Cathedral Choir

| Today (29 Jan 2023) at the 11:30 Sunday Sung Mass, we had the great pleasure of welcoming the St George’s Cathedral Consort, Southwark, a choir of mainly teenagers, from Southwark Catholic Cathedral, led by Jonathan Schranz.
Fr Martin Boland, Dean of the Cathedral officiated at Mass. Both Art Wangcharoensab, leading members of Brentwood Cathedral Choir, and Jonathan Schranz, shared the baton. Stephen King, Brentwood Cathedral Organist played the organ magnificently. With two such splendid choirs and excellent music including Locus Iste (Anton Bruckner), Ave Verum Corpus (W.A. Mozart) and Missa in honorem Sancti Josephi (Flor Peeters .. click for more details of Flor Peeters) , this Mass became a really special artistic and joyous occasion.
