Andrew Wright, our Director of Music at the Cathedral, has for several years been sponsoring regular recitals, which usually take place at lunchtime, starting at 1 pm and lasting about 45 minutes.

Although originally these events were mainly organ recitals, with students and performers from the Royal College of Music, we have also had the pleasure  of enjoying many other types of music, from vocal to piano and from classical violin to jazz.

The recitals are usually held in the Cathedral itself, a splendid Grade 2* Listed Building which provides a superb setting for the music. On occasions the performance is set in the adjacent Cathedral Song School, which is particularly suitable for smaller events.

Admission is free, but there is a retiring collection, which helps to fund these recitals and enables us to continue to provide a wonderfully eclectic mix of music. If you are able to use Gift Aid this will increase the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you.
