Young local musicians connected to the Cathedral  played an excellent variety of music ranging from Bach to Greensleeves, via (amongst others) Vivaldi, Vaughan Williams and Mascagni

Our Director of Music Andrew Wright conducted from the piano, and in addition to the strings players we had a contribution from a flautist.

Jennifer Christie, a professional violinist from the RPO, London also played in the ensemble.

We remember Jennifer particularly for introducing us to one of her outstanding pupils, the young violinist, Hermione Duan, who has played twice at the Cathedral .. see Hermione Duan
